Don’t skip breakfast: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After 6 to 8 hours of sleep-if you’re lucky your body and brain need some fuel to power and prepare them for the day ahead. Skipping breakfast lowers metabolism and lack of nutrition makes human body become weak and more vulnerable to eating snacks and junk food later in the day.

Eat meals on time: Non-timely meals disturb the metabolic cycle of human body making it difficult for the body to adapt to the schedule.  Eating late meals tends to make a person over eat because staying hungry for a longer time makes a person feel hungrier psychologically. One should make sure to eat timely meals and watch the progress.

Drink cold water: Drinking cold water for weight loss isn’t without its logic. The logic is that the body requires extra energy to warm up the cold water that you drink up to normal body temperature when it is absorbed into the bloodstream.  That is the reason why you are feeling cold when you drink cold water. Your body is trying to burn extra calories to keep up your body’s temperature. So keep sipping cold water to burn those extra calories!

Drink green tea: Studies have shown that green tea extracts are capable of reducing fat digestion by inhibiting digestive enzymes.  Green tea also makes skin glow and keep the person healthier. If drinking green tea, one should skip the milk and sugar and drink green tea with cold water for double benefits and change of taste. New research shows that adding milk in tea negates the health benefits of tea.

Avoid Junk food: The taste, flavour and satisfaction that junk foods provide make people binge on it regularly. The extra calories gained by eating junk foods end the weight reduction effort whether one eats healthy or exercise. The huge number of calories that the person gains is much more than what he/she loses and the rest gets stored as fat.

Do some exercises/get physically active: The health benefits of regular exercise and physical activity are hard to ignore. Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. So keep moving and shake those calories off your body!

Get enough sleep: Rest is important as the body gets tired and need time to reboot itself. Work, late nights, midnight munching, low quality of sleep are enemies for weight reduction. One should leave all thoughts aside when resting to recharge your body.
